UVA NEWTON

DESIGNED FOR TODAY

READY FOR TOMORROW

The UVA Newton represents the pinnacle of VFFS technology—state-of-the-art machines built with a modular design that enables the production of a wide variety of bag styles and formats on a single platform.

As market demands evolve—driven by trends like enhanced shelf appeal, reclosability, and new packaging formats—the Newton-I keeps you ahead of the curve. With the ability to produce up to ten different bag styles, it offers unmatched flexibility in the industry.

Even better, thanks to its modular architecture, the UVA Newton is future-proof—ready to adapt to emerging packaging styles and innovations as they arise.

HIGHEST RELIABILITY

Fewer moving parts

MODULAR DESIGN

For multiple expandability in bag options

NO TOOLS NEEDED

Fast, easy, toolless changeovers

EXCEPTIONAL BAG FINISH

AND EXTREMELY RELIABLE

Are you looking for the highest reliability with minimal maintenance?
Do you want the flexibility to change the bag styles when market trends
change, but still at an affordable price per bag? Then VDL Packaging's
UVA Newton is what you’re looking for!

The UVA Newton 400 is part of our intermittent VFFS line-up. The Servo
driven intermittent technology offers clear benefits for the industry,
fewer moving parts what makes it very reliable, cost-efficient with an
exceptional high bag finish. The large seal bars deliver a wide range
of bag widths to a maximum of 400 mm for a pillow bag. The UVA
Newton can reach an intermittent speed of up to 120 pillow bags per
minute.

SMART VACUUM TECHNOLOGY
QUIETLY POWERFUL, RELIABLY FRESH

The UVA Newton can be equipped with an advanced vacuum system designed to elevate packaging performance across multiple dimensions. By efficiently removing excess air from each bag prior to sealing, the system plays a critical role in preserving product quality, extending shelf life, and enhancing the overall appearance of the final package.

This integrated vacuum functionality is particularly valuable for products sensitive to oxidation, moisture, or contamination. Whether you're packaging snacks, powders, or specialty items, the vacuum system ensures a consistently tight, clean finish that not only protects the contents but also improves shelf presentation.

Working seamlessly with the UVA Newton modular and servo-driven architecture, the vacuum system operates in perfect sync with the filling and sealing processes. This ensures minimal cycle time impact while maintaining high throughput and precision. The result is a packaging solution that combines speed, reliability, and product integrity—without compromise.

In addition, the vacuum system supports a wide range of bag styles, including pillow, gusseted, block bottom, and 4-corner seal formats. It can also be paired with other advanced features such as gas flushing, reclosable zippers, and impulse sealing with water cooling, offering unmatched flexibility for evolving packaging needs.
